'Product Sewn in Earnest'

During production they have three people overseeing the process, including the president and designer, who is the former co-founder/designer for Paper Denim & Cloth. They stamp their name after every inspection to validate authenticity and quality.

 

Earnest Sewn Denim is made with a classic five-pocket design, but the value lies in the details. Their signature thread colours are powder blue and high-contrast orange. A variety of trims and hardware is used, including an authentic washer rivet that is pinched through the denim, reverting back to the vintage days. Every 2,000^th pair of each style is made with a 30L, 24-carat gold button. Inspiration comes from naturally aged denim of painter, plumber, farmers and factory workers. The hand sanding artisan, like an artist, works on each pair from start to finish ensuring that they are completed to the envisioned look. Even though they are a smaller company they still adhere to the same standards and regulations as Levi’s during processing. They are also deeply involved in the use of both hand-picked and organically grown cottons, both which are eco-friendly. There is information on where the denim was milled and the date each step began, both giving the company transparency and authenticity.

 

To accompany their quality made denim they have a variety of casual shirts, knits and outerwear. Like the denim, their T-shirts are aged to a comfortable perfection. Shirts are faded and dyed to give an authentically aged look. Silk screening is simple and subdued. For the most part shirts are subtle in colour, with an occasional splash on a plaid shirt. Even the outerwear has an aged, rugged look with a contemporary, city feel. We currently have denim in store and have a full order of shirts, denim and outerwear for the Fall Collection.
