The Perfect Shirt Wash
- Always read the labels.
- Sort and separate according to colour, check pockets, etc.
- Pre-treat and stains on the collars and cuffs.
- Load the machine, add detergent, bleach* (if required for whites) and softener**.
- Choose the correct cycle, temperature and time…the shorter the better.
- Set your dryer temperature accordingly, use Permanent Press if required. Air fluff works well for most shirts. Remove when damp.
- Iron immediately.
* chlorine bleach can weaken fabric and damage colours, use sparingly
**white vinegar can double as a fabric softener
